The Choir Program

The McAuliffe choir program is designed to offer students a wide variety of musical exposure and performance opportunities. We perform traditional choral music, jazz, barbershop, multi-cultural, gospel, Broadway, and pop music. Each student is encouraged to find their own unique voice while working on musicianship skills such as music theory, ear training, part-singing, and sight-reading. The McAuliffe choir program provides students with an opportunity to gain confidence and develop their skills in order to be successful music students at the high school level. There are five different groups offered before, during, or after school. For more information about any of the groups, please contact Mrs. Wallace at swallace@losal.org.

Auditions are held in September for the current school year and are only open to current choir students in 7th & 8th- grade. Musicians must have superior sight-reading and harmony skills as well as dedication and responsibility. This group meets outside of school on Tuesdays and Fridays.
